Harry KALLSTROM

(1963/1980)

né le 30 juin 1939 à Soderstajle

décédé en 2009 d’une crise cardiaque.

Alors Pilote inconnu, il termine 2° du RAC 63 au volant d'une VW devant Erik Carlsson. Il s'impose en 66 et signe sa première victoire. En 67, il pilote une GORDINI mais sans grand succès. LANCIA le recrute en 68 et il devient champion d'europe en 69. Il est spécialiste de la traction avant grace notamment à sa technique du « freinage pied gauche. En 73, il est pilote officiel DATSUN. Il se consacre alors principalement aux rallyes Africains.
ANECDOTE: Au SAFARI 73, il finit à égalité parfaite avec MEHTA. Les organisateurs déclareront MEHTA vainqueur.

Il était marié à l'actrice et chanteuse suédoise Sondja Lindren, ayant vécu avec elle à Strömsund où il possédait une entreprise de transports
